South African Government Collapses

End of the Government of National Unity.

With the unprecedented postponement of the Budget Speech yesterday, the writing is on the wall for the South African “Government of National Unity” (GNU). The presentation of a budget is the basic cornerstone of any Government, as it presents the ruling authority’s vision for the future, and its projected financial means to realize that vision.

Several members of parliament commented afterwards on the postponement of the budget, with Julius Malema stating that the postponement has rendered parliament “useless” and has left it with "no authority”. Mister Malema is not normally known for his political insight, but he is correct in the assessment he made of the situation to the Press, stating: “There is no Government” and "Today we have witnessed the Government of National Unity collapsing in front of South Africa."

The obstacle in front of the GNU is simple, yet insurmountable: Without a Thousand-Million-Dollars-a-Year handout from the USA, there is no money. This means that the ANC’s much vaunted Communist mechanism of social welfare in South Africa, SASSA (and other programs like it), is now in peril and ready to collapse.

There seems no point in continuing the current parliamentary session which, incidentally, has seen anther kleptocratic proposal by the ANC, namely to place 80% of all Farms and Private Property in South Africa in black hands.
